It’s RACE WEEKEND here in Indianapolis. Last night I was at the historic Stutz Building downtown drawing for three hours at a party for Team Penske. Put on by one of the team sponsors the famous drivers were there, so I was told, since none of them made it into the area I was drawing. I doubt that those drivers have a single unscheduled moment this weekend. I heard that they had been whisked off to another event after the meet-and-greet photo op down in the entry area. Here’s the shots;

Last night I was in Lafayette, IN for a national sales meeting dinner for Radian Research.

Okay, there were a few ladies there.

This is Mark Brandyberry, the magician performing that night.

Last Saturday was “Free Comics Day” all across the country. Either in conjunction with that event or coincidental to it the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis opened a Comic Book exhibit which features the comic collection of Max Simon. I drew there for three hours that day. The museum has a rather restrictive policy on photographs so I was unable to shoot my regular photos of subjects with their drawings so I’ve recreated a few generic kids faces to show you the drawings they received from me. I had preprinted (for speed sake) the paper with a generic superhero body which I adapted to whatever character the kid wanted. I did a lot of Iron Men (and one Iron Girl), no surprise there, one Hulk and several Batmen and Supergirls.
